UFC 206 post-fight facts: Max Holloway and 'Cowboy' Cerrone rule the world of statistics

UFC 206, which took place Saturday at Air Canada Centre in Toronto, delivered in almost every way imaginable, from highlight-reel stoppages to unforgettable fights.

One fight that ended inside the distance was the main event, where Max Holloway (17-3 MMA, 13-3 UFC) claimed the interim UFC featherweight championship with a third-round TKO of former lightweight titleholder Anthony Pettis (19-6 MMA, 6-5 UFC), pushing his current winning streak into double digits.

The Reebok Athlete Outfitting payout for the event totaled $187,500.

Holloway, Landon Vannata, Cub Swanson and Dooho Choi earned $50,000 UFC 206 fight-night bonuses.

Debuting fighters went 2-0 on the card.

UFC 206 drew an announced attendance of 18,057 for a live gate of $1,843,101.

Betting favorites went 7-5 on the card.

Total fight time for the 12-bout card was 2:22:24.

Anthony Pettis and Max Holloway

Holloway extended his career-high winning streak to 10 fights. He hasn’t suffered a defeat since August 2013.

Holloway’s 10-fight winning streak in UFC competition is third longest among active fighters in the company behind Jon Jones (13) and Demetrious Johnson (11).

Holloway became the sixth fighter in UFC history to earn a 10-fight winning streak. Jones, Johnson, Anderson Silva, Georges St-Pierre and Royce Gracie also accomplished the feat.

Donald Cerrone

Donald Cerrone (32-7 MMA, 19-4 UFC) improved to 4-0 since he moved up to the UFC welterweight division in February.

Cerrone became the third fighter to earn four UFC victories in 2016. Gegard Mousasi and Derrick Lewis also accomplished the feat.

Cerrone’s 19 victories in UFC competition are tied with Georges St-Pierre for second most in company history behind Michael Bisping (20).

Cerrone’s 25 victories in UFC/WEC/PRIDE/Strikeforce competition are the most in the combined history of the four organizations behind Wanderlei Silva (27) and Dan Henderson (25).

Cerrone’s 13 stoppage victories in UFC competition are tied for third most in company history behind Vitor Belfort (14) and A. Silva (14).

Cerrone’s 17 stoppage victories in UFC/WEC competition are the most in the combined history of the two organizations.

Cerrone’s 17 stoppage victories in UFC/WEC/PRIDE/Strikeforce competition are tied for third most in the combined history of the four organizations behind Mirko Filipovic (21) and W. Silva (20).

Swanson’s nine fight-night bonuses for UFC/WEC featherweight bouts are the most in combined divisional history.

Choi (14-2 MMA, 3-1 UFC) had his 12-fight winning streak snapped for his first defeat since June 2010.

Choi suffered his first decision loss since June 6, 2010 – a span of 2,379 days (more than six years) and 13 fights. Both of his career losses are by decision.

Kelvin Gastelum and Tim Kennedy

Kelvin Gastelum (13-2 MMA, 8-2 UFC) was successful in his return to the UFC middleweight division. He’s 3-0 in the organization at 185 pounds.

Gastelum has earned nine of his 13 career victories by stoppage.

Tim Kennedy (18-6 MMA, 3-2 UFC) suffered back-to-back losses for the first time in his career. He hasn’t earned a victory since April 2014.

Kennedy has suffered both of his UFC losses by knockout.

Emil Meek (9-2-1 MMA, 1-0 UFC) earned the first decision victory of his career.

Misha Cirkunov

Misha Cirkunov’s (13-2 MMA, 4-0 UFC) four-fight UFC winning streak in light heavyweight competition is the second longest active streak in the division behind Jones (13).

Cirkunov has earned 11 of his 13 career victories by stoppage. That includes all four of his UFC wins.

Cirkunov’s four-fight stoppage streak in UFC competition is tied with Stipe Miocic, Francis Ngannou, Vicente Luque and Mairbek Taisumov for the longest among active fighters in the company.

Cirkunov’s three submission victories in UFC light-heavyweight competition are tied for third most in divisional history behind Jones (five) and Renato Sobral (four).

Cirkunov has earned all four of his UFC victories by stoppage.

Nikita Krylov (21-5 MMA, 6-3 UFC) fell to 5-2 since he dropped to the UFC light heavyweight division in March 2014.

Krylov has suffered all five of his career losses by stoppage.

Olivier Aubin-Mercier

Olivier Aubin-Mercier (9-2 MMA, 5-2 UFC) has earned four of his five UFC victories by stoppage.

Aubin-Mercier has earned eight of his nine career victories by submission.

Aubin-Mercier failed to complete a takedown in a fight for the first time of his UFC career.

Valerie Letourneau (8-6 MMA, 3-3 UFC) suffered her third consecutive loss to extend the longest skid of her career.
