UFC 200: Tate vs. Nunes Record-Setting Gate and Attendance from Las Vegas

UFC 200 was billed as the biggest fight card in Ultimate Fighting Championship history.  Originally slated to feature three world title fights, the fight card went through some last minute changes but delivered big as anticipated.  Despite Jon Jones being pulled frT-Mobile Arena - UFC 200 om the main event bout against Daniel Cormier on Wednesday, UFC 200 set Las Vegas attendance and gate records for the fight promotion.

18,202 spectators filled a sold out T-Mobile Arena on the Las Vegas Strip generated gate receipts totally $10.7 million.

Those in attendance and watching on pay-per-view witnessed Amanda Nunes dethrone Miesha Tate and take the women’s bantamweight title in the fight card’s featured bout.  They also saw former heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar get a win over Mark Hunt in his Octagon return, Cormier defeat late replacement Anderson Silva, and Jose Aldo earn the interim featherweight championship by outlasting Frankie Edgar.

The T-Mobile Arena opened in April, and UFC 200 was the first event the UFC has hosted at the new Las Vegas venue.  The event was the organization’s third in consecutive nights and the main attraction of International Fight Week.
