UFC 197: Edson Barboza vs. Anthony Pettis video highlights

Anthony Pettis and Edson Barboza promised a striking battle on paper and delivered it in the octagon.

It was Barboza’s speed that gave him the edge in the bout and he picked up a unanimous decision win over the former lightweight champion.

The lightweight bout was part of the main card of the UFC 197 event at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. It aired on pay-per-view following prelims on FOX Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass.

Pettis (18-5 MMA, 5-4 UFC) was never able to get on track with his offense, repeatedly getting clipped by left hooks and leg kicks from Barboza (17-4 MMA, 11-4 UFC). By the end of the fight, Pettis’ leg was a deep purple. The official scorecards read 29-28, 29-28 and 30-27 all in Barboza’s favor.
