UFC 195: Robbie Lawler vs. Carlos Condit video highlights

If there were ever a fight you could look at on paper and expect great action, Robbie Lawler defending his title against Carlos Condit at UFC 195 was it. The battle lived up to the hype, with Lawler retaining his title in a split decision.

The welterweight title bout was the main event of today’s UFC 195 event at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. It aired on pay-per-view following prelims on FOX Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass.

The fight was a battle of quantity versus quality in the striking department as Condit (30-9 MMA, 7-5 UFC) continually came forward, throwing extended combinations and catching Lawler (27-10 MMA, 12-4 UFC) throughout every round. But it was Lawler who cracked with the bigger shots, especially finding openings when he could get Condit’s back to the cage.

It was an outstanding fight and one that the judges gave to Lawler by a hair, with official scores of 48-47, 47-48 and 48-47.
