BALTIMORE – UFC 172 was on scene for today’s UFC 172 fighter weigh-ins, where all 20 competitors on the show made weight for Saturday’s card.

In the main event, UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones (19-1 MMA, 13-1 UFC) meets his latest challenger, Glover Teixeira (22-2 MMA, 5-0 UFC). Jones is going after his 11th straight victory and in pursuit of his seventh successful 205-pound title defense.

Teixeira weighed in first and came in at 205 pounds on the button. Champ Jones came in at 205, as well. Jones is fighting in the same city where his brother Arthur played for the NFL’s Ravens for four seasons before signing with Indianapolis this past month. The event is the UFC’s debut in Baltimore.

“He’s a great fighter, he’s got all the tools and he’s a great champion,” Teixeira said. “But I’m going to take that belt away from him tomorrow.”

“I’m going to give it my best, and I’m predicting a victory,” Jones said.

In the co-main event, Anthony Johnson (16-4 MMA, 7-4 UFC) makes a highly anticipated return to the UFC as a light heavyweight after being let go more than two years ago for repeated infractions on the scale as a welterweight and middleweight. He takes on contender Phil Davis (12-1 MMA, 8-1 UFC), who has but one UFC loss. Johnson weighed in first and was 205 pounds without issue; Davis was 205.5.

Also on the main card, heavy favorite Luke Rockhold (11-2 MMA, 1-1 UFC) was 185.5 for his middleweight bout against Tim Boetsch (17-6 MMA, 8-5 UFC), who was 185.5, as well. Lightweight Jim Miller (23-4 MMA, 12-3 UFC) fights short-notice replacement opponent Yancy Medeiros (9-1 MMA, 0-1 UFC). Miller was 155, while Medeiros was 155.5. And to open the action, Andre Fili (13-1 MMA, 1-0 UFC) takes on Max Holloway (8-3 MMA, 4-3 UFC). Each came in at 145 pounds on the nose.
