Round 1
Whiteford opens with an inside leg kick, answered by Pineda with a
kick to the body. The featherweights move into the pocket to throw
hard punches, Whiteford landing to the body and Pineda upstairs.
Another loud body kick from Pineda draws an “ooh” from the partisan
crowd, and “The Pit” moves in to clinch. Whiteford reverses and
shoves Pineda against the fence, working some foot stomps and short
knees to the body. Whiteford’s looking for a trip but Pineda
defends well and peppers the Scot with palm strikes. Referee Don
Turnage tells the fighters to work off the cage, and Whiteford
completes his takedown. Pineda scrambles right back up, only to be
dragged down again. Whiteford tries to advance past Pineda’s
butterfly guard, can’t, and instead hits Pineda with a knee to the
gut on the way up. Referee Turnage finally restarts them with 1:40
on the clock. Whiteford stays on the outside, absorbing a couple
leg kicks before ducking inside to pop Pineda with a left hand.
Another left gets Whiteford inside and he follows up with a short
right hook. Pineda looks to attack in the last 10 seconds, misses
with a jumping knee and spinning kick.

Round 2
Whiteford shoots a quick double-leg and puts Pineda on his back
away from the fence. Pineda keeps him in open guard, though
Whiteford isn’t trying hard to advance. Whiteford stands after a
minute and allows Pineda to do the same. Pineda changes levels for
a double on the fence and completes it, but Whiteford won’t stay
down. The featherweights separate and Whiteford is on his back foot
again. He tags Pineda with a left high kick; Pineda stays standing
but the kick has opened a cut on the outside of his right eye.
Pineda keeps marching forward, grinning at Whiteford, who hits him
with another shin-to-face kick. Whiteford clinches Pineda on the
fence, works a couple knees to the legs before Pineda rolls
underneath, grabbing at Whiteford’s legs. Whiteford comes down to
defend as Pineda leans back, trying to finish a heel hool.
Whiteford smiles and puts a thumb up, then yanks his leg free and
takes side control. Pineda sits up against the fence and Whiteford
drills him with a knee to the chest. Pineda powers back to his feet
and spends the final 15 seconds chasing Whiteford around the cage.

Round 3
Pineda throws a kick and gets plowed to the canvas, where Whiteford
sets up in his guard. Whiteford isn’t doing much on top, causing
referee Turnage to call for action. Pineda scores with a few elbows
from his back before they’re stood up. Whiteford ducks under a
spinning back fist and scores another takedown. This time, Pineda
rolls immediately for another heel hook, but again Whiteford
defends. They stand for a few seconds before Whiteford double-legs
Pineda down again, now with 2:20 on the clock. Pineda throws up a
triangle and Whiteford leans back to defend, breaks the hold and
moves to side control. Pineda puts the Scot back in guard, but only
for a few seconds, as they’re stood up again. Whiteford shoots a
long double and gets shoved to the ground, with Pineda coming down
on top in half guard. Pineda leans right to left, framing up a
kimura on Whiteford’s left arm with only 15 seconds to go. He
releases the arm and drops a couple elbows on Whiteford before time
runs out.

Strickland lands a hard right hand but slips and has to rush back
to his feet before McDaniel can pounce. The southpaw McDaniel comes
in behind a left hand and elevates Strickland for a slam.
Strickland keeps his balance and winds up pressed against the
fence, looking for a trip takedown of his own. Strickland gets
McDaniel to the ground and stands over him, controlling the legs
and looking to come down to the Greg Jackson student’s guard.
Strickland sets up in guard and drops some heavy elbows, then sits
up and tees off with four or five good punches. McDaniel tries to
get up, gives up his back and Strickland sink in both hooks.
Strickland sinks in a quick, deep rear-naked choke and McDaniel
taps out.

Round 1
Scoggins switches between orthodox and southpaw stance in the
opening minute, throwing kicks from both before rushing in to grab
hold of Campuzano’s back. Campuzano goes to his knees, works his
way back up against the fence and is taken down again. Scoggins
tries to pass Campuzano’s half guard, gets pushed out and Campuzano
stands. Scoggins lands a couple punches on the fence before
separating. High-volume punches coming from Scoggins now, keeping
Campuzano on the outside, and now “The Tank” puts Campuzano back on
the floor at the base of the fence. Campuzano gets up but again
takes a couple hard left hands along the way. Scoggins goes low
with a pair of kicks on the right, then up top with a left high
kick. He takes down Campuzano again with 40 seconds on the clock

Scoggins sets up in the center of the cage, flicking quick punches
in Campuzano’s face and then trying some high, hooking kicks. As he
shoots in for a takedown, Scoggins gets snared in a guillotine and
has to fight out of it on the ground. Campuzano releases the choke
after a few seconds; Scoggins works to pass Campuzano’s butterfly
guard but keeps getting stuffed back. Campuzano hits Scoggins with
a few elbows from underneath before Scoggins passes to side control
on the right. Campuzano rolls to his knees, then to his back again
to prevent Scoggins from sinking in hooks. Rough ground-and-pound
scores for Scoggins on top with 90 seconds left in the round.
Campuzano regains one butterfly hook and uses it to keep Scoggins
out of mount. Campuzano bucks him off and the flyweights stand with

at Scoggins with an uppercut. Scoggins changes levels and puts the
incoming Campuzano back on the ground. Forty seconds into the
round, Scoggins steps into full mount, but Campuzano kicks him
right back out. Scoggins sits up and cracks Campuzano with some
heavy left hands, maybe the best ground-and-pound of the fight so
far. It’s side control for Scoggins now, leaning left to right
across Campuzano, who goes to his knees to defend. Scoggins turns
him over and flattens him out, then shoves Campuzano to the fence
to drop more punches. Campuzano gets to his knees, then his feet,

Trevino takes the outside in the southpaw stance, trying to fend
off Forte with long strikes. Forte breaks through after a minute,
though, and hits a quick takedown to back control. Trevino sits up
with Forte on his back, one hook in. Forte establishes his second
hook when Trevino tries to get to his knees, and they roll back
over. Forte picks at Trevino with punches until Trevino explodes
out and up. Trevino’s time on his feet is short-lived, as Forte
spins him back to the mat and looks to take back control. Trevino
defends, rolls out and stands, and he’s shaking his head at Forte

shake him off and scores with a right straight as they separate.
Trevino is finding his rhythm now, connecting with a kick to the
body and a pair of punches that have Forte backpedaling. Forte is
just moving backward now, not offering much offense in return, and
Trevino raises his arms in a shrug. When Forte does strike, it’s
with a single punch which Trevino is able to dodge. Forte gets a
takedown with about one minute left, but Trevino is back on his
feet 20 seconds later. Trevino scores a double-leg takedown of his
own against the fence, then catches Forte in a headlock as they
stand. Forte is trying to keep his hand on the mat, but Trevino

and Trevino allows him to stand, then holds him against the fence,
looking for a double-leg. Trevino gets the takedown, Forte stands,
and Trevino goes for a single-leg, then releases when Forte
threatens with a guillotine. Trevino breaks off, cracking Forte
with a spinning back elbow on the split. Forte grabs a rear
waistlock but can’t keep it and winds up defending a takedown with
a wide base against the cage. Trevino takes the back standing and
drives knees into the back of Forte’s thigh, then lands another
elbow as he slips out. Trevino zaps Forte with a three- or
four-punch combo midway through the final round. A hard right hand
from Trevino has Forte turning around. A couple chopping low kicks
land for Trevino, but now Forte answers back with a nice right
hand. Takedown goes for Forte with 1:20 remaining; he tries to take
Trevino’s back, but Trevino stands and shakes him off. Down to the
final 45 seconds and the lightweights clinch on the cage, Trevino
on the outside, looking to escape Forte’s body lock. They split and
Forte connects with a nice right straight. Forte shoots low, winds

Spencer strikes first with a right hook, answered by Garcia with an
uppercut-hook combo, followed by a takedown. Spencer is quick to
stand but Garcia stays glued to him and brings him back to the
ground. Garcia prevents the mount at the base of the fence and gets
back to his feet to resume striking. Spencer moves around the
outside where Garcia gives chase, throwing lead uppercuts, right
hands and low kicks. Garcia just misses connecting flush with a
right high kick as Spencer leans right. Garcia hits a takedown on
the fence, can’t keep it, and Spencer takes control when they stand
up. Garcia separates with a pair of uppercuts in the clinch.

Garcia comes right back with a big shot of his own, and now it’s
Spencer on rubbery legs. Both guys looks hurt and are swinging for
the fences, both landing in a wild flurry. Spencer tries a lunging
uppercut, misses and backs up out of the way of a Garcia right.
Garcia connects with the next uppercut, eats a jab and then floors
Spencer with a double-leg. The welterweights scoot toward the
fence, Garcia on top in half guard. Spencer rolls out the back and
stands to sting Garcia with a pair of heavy right hands. Garcia is

fence. Garcia switches from a single- to a double-leg and completes
the takedown. Spencer works back to his feet with about two minutes

Bermudez sends a right hand over the top and lands a pair of low
kicks, then jabs his way into Hettes’ range to clinch up. The
featherweights fight for position on the fence, trading positions
with Bermudez ending up on the outside and dumping Hettes to the
ground. Hettes pops back up, Bermudez finishes another double-leg
and Hettes stands again. Bermudez keeps him held against the cage
with over-unders and then trips “The Kid” to the mat. Hettes
stands, eats a hard right hand and answers with a nice left hook of
his own. Yet another takedown goes for Bermudez, then an overhand
right behind a missed knee. Bermudez is just tossing Hettes around,
but Hettes won’t stay on the ground and keeps coming forward on the
feet, absorbing all the punches Bermudez can throw. Bermudez spends

which knock out Hettes’ mouthpiece. Hettes is turtling up on the
ground but he survives as Bermudez passes to side control, then

another takedown at the foot of the fence. Hettes tries to take
Bermudez’s back on the ground, then stays with “The Menace” as they

the ground to sock Hettes with four or five heavy punches on the
grill. Hettes is throwing up his legs, angling for a submission,
but it’s late in the game and Bermudez is staying heavy on top.
Bermudez allows Hettes to stand, stuffs a takedown and knocks him
back to the floor with a body shot. Hettes is barely standing,

Pennington is countering early, picking at the oncoming Andrade
with punches and then blocking a takedown to deliver a knee up the
middle. Andrade shoves Pennington against the cage, and now the
Brazilian is forced to defend against a guillotine. Pennington
works to adjust the choke as she keeps her base against the fence
but eventually loses her grip. Andrade takes the outside position,
then completes a takedown but doesn’t manage much on top before
Pennington scoots back to the fence and stands. Andrade uses
Pennington’s momentum to toss her back to the ground and lands on
top in half guard. Andrade stands to drop punches and leaves her
right arm in Pennington’s guard, allowing “Rocky” to try an armbar.
Andrade freezes and waits to yank the arm free when Pennington
moves to adjust. Andrade pulls guard with a guillotine, finds

Pennington against the fence and cracking her with some hard hooks
in the pocket. Right hand, leg kick land for Pennington, answered
by Andrade with a rushing combo. Andrade follows a leg kick with a
series of 12 or more punches that momentarily stuns Pennington. The
bantamweights lock up on the cage again, but Andrade backs out
after Pennington goes for the plum again. Andrade is just
bull-rushing now, walking straight ahead on Pennington with
constant punches and finding the most success with her right. When

she’s on her back foot, trying to fend off Andrade with stiff push
kicks to the body. Andrade is finding her target now, starting to

Pennington eats three or four hard shots on the fence but gives
Andrade one back and works in a couple knees. After a moment of

Story lines up in the orthodox stance and follows Gastelum around
the outside, ripping a combo to the “TUF” winner’s body. Gastelum
answers with a stiff jab that marks up Story’s left cheek. Gastelum
doubles up on the jab, steps back and takes a hard right hand to

ground with a head kick. Story clings to Gastelum in butterfly

welterweights square off in the center. Story catches an outside
leg kick and hits Gastelum with a right to the body. Another leg
kick from Story, countered by a Gastelum jab. Gastelum wades into

Gastelum looks to have recovered as the final round begins, but
Story is still finding success as they throw shots in the center of
the cage. Gastelum puts the fight on the fence and takes the
outside position, and they trade knees before shoving off. Right
after they separate, Gastelum drills Story with three or four fast
punches. Story is dazed, moving backward, and now Gastelum dumps
him to the ground. Story slips out from underneath and leaps on the
kneeling Gastelum’s back. Both hooks in, Story pulls Gastelum
backward and begins fishing for the rear-naked choke with two
minutes to work. Gastelum fights off Story’s hands, tries to flip
around and take top position, but Story is keeping him wrapped up.
Gastelum peels off one hook and turns over with 45 seconds left.

caught off balance and knocked to the ground again. Lombard lets
him stand, waits a moment and cracks Shields with another huge left

Lombard lands another clean left hand on the split. Lombard sprawls

Shields gets up and paws at Lombard’s outstretched hands with
punches. Lombard creeps forward, closing in on Shields, who’s

coming ahead and presses Jury against the cage after grazing with a
left. A few knees land to Jury’s thighs before he’s able to shove
Sanchez away. Jury catches a kick, can’t put Sanchez on the ground.

throws a leg kick and has to circle out when Sanchez rushes forward
with a wild combo. Sanchez comes forward again and Jury lands a
counter right hook moving away. With 35 seconds on the clock, Jury
