LAS VEGAS – MMAjunkie was on scene for today’s official fighter weigh-ins for UFC 168, where all but one fighter made weight for Saturday’s card.
In the main event, UFC middleweight champion Chris Weidman defends his title for the first time against the man he took it from in July, longtime champion Anderson Silva. Both fighters came in on weight without issue before engaging in a fairly tense staredown in front of UFC President Dana White.
And in the co-main event, women’s bantamweight champ Ronda Rousey defends her belt against the woman she took it from back in Strikeforce nearly two years ago – Miesha Tate. The two heated rivals also had an interesting faceoff, with Tate smiling with her hands down as Rousey put up her dukes.
Only Diego Brandao missed weight for his featherweight bout against Dustin Poirier, coming in at 153 pounds on his first try before settling at 151.5 pounds. Those two had the most intense faceoff, with Poirier getting in Brandao’s face and yelling at his opponent.
Today’s weigh-ins took place at MGM Grand Garden Arena Las Vegas. Saturday’s card takes place at the same venue with a main card on pay-per-view (10 p.m. ET) following prelims on FOX Sports 1 (8 p.m. ET) and MMAjunkie (7 p.m. ET).
