The fight card for the UFC’s summer return to Brazil, UFC 163, is continuing to take shape.
A welterweight bout between “The Ultimate Fighter” semifinalists Sergio Moraes (7-2 MMA, 1-1 UFC) and Neil Magny (8-1 MMA, 1-0 UFC) is now official for the card. MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) passed along news of the bout on Tuesday, and officials subsequently confirmed it.
UFC 163 takes place Aug. 3 at HSBC Arena in Rio de Janeiro. The main card airs on pay-per-view following prelims on FX and Facebook.
The organization recently made a formal announcement about the event and its co-headliners: featherweight champion Jose Aldo (22-1 MMA, 4-0 UFC) vs. Anthony Pettis (16-2 MMA, 3-1 UFC) and welterweights Demian Maia (18-4 MMA, 9-4 UFC) vs. Josh Koscheck (17-7 MMA, 15-7 UFC).
