In defeat, Stout was awarded $50,000. Heavyweight Shawn Jordan earned the same sum for “Knockout of the Night” after stopping Pat Barry to open the pay-per-view portion of the card.
Krause used his length effectively throughout his three-round lightweight showdown with Stout, consistently connecting with a stiff jab to keep the Canadian off-balance. Though Stout put forth his best effort in the middle frame, round three belonged to Krause, who countered a late takedown attempt with a tight guillotine choke that forced “Hands of Stone” to tap out with just 13 seconds remaining.
Later in the evening, Jordan wasted no time in disposing of his friend Barry, catching the World Combat League alumnus with a hard combination punctuated by a vicious uppercut that caused Barry to crumble against the cage. The bout was officially halted just 59 seconds into the opening round, resulting in the 11th knockout win of Jordan’s four-year career.
