UFC 158 draws reported 20,145 attendance and $3.7 million gate


montreal-bell-centre-interior.jpgMONTREAL – Saturday’s long-awaited “UFC 158: St-Pierre vs. Diaz” event scored a reported attendance of 20,145 and a live gate of $3.71 million.

UFC President Dana White confirmed the estimated totals following the event, which took place at Montreal’s Bell Centre and MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) attended.

UFC 158, which saw UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre win all five rounds of his headlining bout with challenger Nick Diaz, aired on pay-per-view following prelims on FX and Facebook. It marked the UFC’s first Canadian event of 2013.

The UFC has visited Montreal six times. St-Pierre has headlined four of those events.

The UFC’s full list of events at Bell Centre include:

  1. “UFC 83: St-Pierre vs. Serra 2? – $5,100,000 gate (21,390 attendance)
  2. “UFC 97: Redemption” – $4,900,000 gate (21,451)

  4. “UFC 158: St-Pierre vs. Diaz” – $3,710,000 gate (20,145)
  5. “UFC 113: Machida vs. Shogun 2? – $3,270,000 (17,647)
  6. “UFC 154: St-Pierre vs. Condit” – $3,143,000 (17,249)
