Round 1: Schaub out quickly with kicks and punches, looks for an uppercut as well. The fighters clinch, both throwing inside shots, nothing with damage. Referee Herb Dean separates them and warns Schaub for hits to the back of the head. Back on the feet, Schaub shoots in and gets a takedown on CroCop. Schaub stands back up over CroCop and then dives into his guard, but doesn’t land the big punch he was looking for. Schaub opening up with big right hands, as CroCop plays defense and eventually he slips out and stands back up. Schaub looking for a trip, but CroCop keeps his balance, and it’s up against the cage. Schaub lands a nice uppercut just before the round ends.

Round 2: CroCop is moving forward and finally uncorks a head kick, but misses and Schaub slips in for a takedown. Schaub again looking for big right hands. As Schaub slips away, CroCop throws an upkick while Schaub’s knee is still down and referee Herb Dean pauses the action and issues a warning for the illegal strike. Against the cage, both fighters looking for knees to the body, but neither gaining better position. Schaub lands a couple quick knees to the body, CroCop fires back with an uppercut of his own. Schaub is bleeding bad from his nose. Repeated strikes to the back of the head and referee Herb Dean pauses the fight and deducts a point from Schaub for the 2nd infraction. Back in action, CroCop comes out quick, but can’t land his signature strike.

Round 3: CroCop fires a lowkick and nails Schaub below the belt. Referee Herb Dean pauses the fight to give Schaub time to recover. CroCop jumps forward with a good punch, snapping Schaub’s head back. CroCop steps forward again and this time Schaub ducks under with a nice takedown. CroCop is able to shove Schaub off, but before he can regain his balance, Schaub is already pushing on him again and takes the fight to the mat. Schaub works into CroCop’s half guard. Schaub decides to stand back up and CroCop takes the opportunity to hop up himself. CroCop launches a high kick, blocked by Schaub. As Crocop steps forward, Schaub blasts him with a huge overhand right and CroCop is down. Schaub follows up with one more punch as referee Herb Dean rushes in for the stoppage.
