Two fights added to UFC on FOX 22, including Team Alpha Male's Josh Emmett

The UFC’s final FOX event of the year is taking shape, and the promotion today announced two additional contests for the card.

The new bouts includes a lightweight bout between hometown fighter Josh Emmett against fellow prospect Scott Holtzman, as well as a welterweight matchup between Russia’s Sultan Aliev and Serbia’s Bojan Velickovic.

UFC on FOX 22 takes place Dec. 17 at Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, Calif. The main card, headlined by strawweight prospects Paige VanZant and Michelle Waterson, will air on FOX after prelims expected for FOX and UFC Fight Pass. A full bout order has yet to be determined.

Team Alpha Male’s Emmett (10-0 MMA, 1-0 UFC) made his promotional debut at this past May’s UFC Fight Night 87 event, where he rushed out to an early lead against Jon Tuck before breaking his hand and hanging on for a split-decision victory. He now faces Holtzman (9-1 MMA, 2-1 UFC), who has sandwiched a pair of UFC wins over Cody Pfister and Anthony Christodoulou around a decision loss to Drew Dober.

With the addition to the card, UFC on FOX 22 now includes:

• Mickey Gall vs. Sage Northcutt
• Bryan Barberena vs. Colby Covington
• Alan Jouban vs. Mike Perry
• Josh Emmett vs. Scott Holtzman
• Sultan Aliev vs. Bojan Velickovic
• James Moontasri vs. Alex Morono
