Twitter reacts to UFC-Reebok 'fight kit' unveiling in New York City

After months of discussion and anticipation, the UFC and apparel partner Reebok finally unveiled their “fight kits” that will be mandatory for all competitors beginning at UFC 189 on July 11.

The UFC first announced its Reebok partnership in December. Since then the two sides have worked closely to design fighter uniforms and training gear that will be worn in the octagon and during training sessions and fight-week activities.

The “athlete outfitting policy” has received its first share of criticism from the outset. From the way in which sponsorship money is to be distributed to the designs of the kits, the reaction and response has been mixed at best.
