Tuff-N-Uff Cage Side Results

tuff n uff aug 2

The Orleans Hotel and Casino would welcome back Amateur MMA powerhouse Tuff- N- Uff to the Mardi Gras Ballroom last night, and needless to say the promotion would not disappoint in its original stomping grounds return.

One of the strange events of the night would take place when Daniel Ames would land a perfect body shot on Nick Graziano, not only causing him to lose his mouth piece but also causing him to lose his stomach as he would vomit all over the cage. This would give Ames a Technical Knockout victory.

Aaron Ames would follow in his brothers strange win status as he would hit elbows with Jacob Wehrung, causing an injury that would not allow him to continue. The fight would go to the scorecards awarding Ames with a Technical decision even though he was the fighter who could not continue.

Joe Burgess would flee the cage Forrest Griffin style after getting put to sleep by Adam Juarez. As I watched Burgess run out, not even claiming his participation medal, it made me realize how much these fighters are put through emotionally as they try to find a home in the sport of MMA. It really made me feel for this kid, even though as a journalist we are not supposed to show feelings.  MMADIRT.COM wishes you the best Joe as you continue your journey in this sport.

Jason Preston would win the super heavyweight crown, brutally splitting the face of Brian Lopez wide open, awarding him a Technical Knockout.

Carlos Garcia would take home 135lbs gold by unanimously outpointing Daniel Garcia for the decision.

Ron Brown's knockout of the night goes to Boston "Boom Boom" Salmon as he would simply destroy JW Lee with a vicious right uppercut-right hook combo, leaving Lee disturbingly unconscious on the canvas.

Once again Tuff- N -Uff management would prove their knowledge of MMA with excellent match making and another near capacity show. It's always an honor covering their events and working alongside them.

Below are quick results of the remaining card:

Tom Landeros, 1st round guillotine choke submission over George Perez.

Andrew Gonzales, unanimous decision over Steven Hoffman.

Cedric Terrell Smith, 1st round TKO over Jason Rose.

Yordany Gonzalez, via Dr. Stoppage in the 2nd round (cut) over Chad Decosta.

Ryan Curry, 1st round TKO over William Schroeder.

Miles Hunsinger, unanimous decision over Tyler Smith.

Jamin Tayaba, 1sr round TKO over JP Bwrede.
