Two more lightweights have been added to the main card of Bellator’s first pay-per-view next month.

Will Brooks (13-1 MMA, 5-1 BMMA) will return to action and meet Nate Jolly (13-5 MMA, 0-0 BMMA), who will make his Bellator debut. Bellator officials recently announced the new addition to Bellator 120.

Bellator 120, which takes place May 17, features a main event trilogy bout between lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez and Michael Chandler and a light heavyweight tournament final between Quinton “Rampage” Jackson and Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal. The card takes place at Landers Center in Southaven, Miss., just outside Memphis. The pay-per-view main card is expected to follow prelims on Spike TV.

Brooks this past November won Bellator’s Season 9 lightweight tournament when he outpointed Alexander Sarnavskiy at Bellator 109. That completed a three-fight run through the tourney, all unanimous decisions, that also included wins over Saad Awad and John Alessio.

With Alvarez and Chandler meeting in a rematch from their Bellator 106 title fight, Brooks takes a stay-busy fight against Jolly while he awaits his shot at the winner later this year.

“I’m so happy to be getting back in that cage,” Brooks stated. “I would be lying if I said I didn’t have my sights set on Alvarez vs. Chandler III, just like everyone else, but at the same time I know how focused I am for this next fight. I’m really looking at this fight as more of a blessing than anything else. What some people don’t understand is when you get into that tournament, you are doing everything you can to get through it healthy and keep racking up those wins. My coaches and I came in with a game plan for the tournament, and while it obviously paid off, I know there are so many adjustments I still want to make to my game, and I want to show my fans the sort of skills I have. With a full training camp under my belt, I know I’m going to take my game to the next level and really show fans how my game has evolved.”

Jolly has won three of his past four fights since being stopped in 69 seconds by Jamie Varner at XFC 14 in October 2011. He returned to XFC this past October and took a unanimous decision from Gerric Hayes at XFC 26 to get back on track after a knockout loss for the Tennessee-based Cage Brawl Fighting Championships.

“I’m coming into this fight with really nothing to lose,” Jolly stated. “I’m pumped to be able to fight for Bellator on such a big stage and against a guy that I feel I match up very well against. I always want to fight the best, and I know Will is very well-rounded and I will need to be on top of my game, which will raise my skills as well. It’s going to be a great scrap.”

With the addition, Bellator 120 now includes:

  • Eddie Alvarez vs. Michael Chandler – for lightweight title
  • Quinton Jackson vs. Muhammed Lawal – light heavyweight tournamenty final
  • Will Brooks vs. Nate Jolly
