Ferguson (20-3), the winner of The Ultimate Fighter 13, has only lost to one fighter in his eleven fights inside the famed Octagon. “El Cucuy” is riding a seven-fighting winning streak, and has the opportunity to erase the only blemish on his UFC resume when he faces Johnson for the second time.
The two first fought in May 2012. The fight went the distance with Johnson winning by unanimous decision. All three judges’ scorecards read 30-27. Johnson (16-10) hopes to rebound from back-to-back losses and show that he’s still a contender in the 155-pound division.
UFC 197: dos Anjos vs. McGregor takes place on March 5 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. A lightweight title fight between champion Rafael dos Anjos and featherweight titleholder Conor McGregor headlines the pay-per-view fight card.
