Tonight's Justin Gaethje vs. Ozzy Dugulubgov WSOF 33 headliner canceled

Tonight’s WSOF 33 event has lost its championship headliner.

Ozzy Dugulubgov (8-2) has suffered an undisclosed illness and been forced out of his title fight with lightweight champion Justin Gaethje (16-0). WSOF President Ray Sefo confirmed the scratch with MMAjunkie due to “medical concerns.”

A replacement won’t be sought on such short notice, and the main card will continue with five bouts.

WSOF 33 takes place at Kansas City Memorial Auditorium in Kansas City, Mo. NBCSN carries the main card after prelims on MMAjunkie.

According to Sefo, Dugulubgov has been transported to a local hospital for observation. The extent of his illness wasn’t immediately known.

A title fight between light-heavyweight champion David Branch (18-3) and Vinny Magalhaes (14-7) now serves as the night’s headliner.
