The Speed Bag: What are we going to do about these guys?

Once again, B.J. Penn has a comeback fight. Stop us if you’ve heard this one before.

This time, Penn (16-10-2 MMA, 12-9-2 UFC) will meet Yair Rodriguez (8-1 MMA, 5-0 UFC) in the main event of UFC Fight Night 103 in January at Talking Stick Resort Arena in Phoenix.

Penn’s return has been scheduled to be against Dennis Siver, then Cole Miller, then Ricardo Lamas just this past month. Now it’s Rodriguez. Doesn’t it seem like Penn’s the old lion being fed to the young wolf, Ben Fowlkes wonders?

In the latest edition of The Speed Bag, Fowlkes talks about the booking – and why it’s a little different than watching, say, Tito Ortiz vs. Chael Sonnen for Bellator.
