The Speed Bag: Did you see the Sonnen-Ortiz debate? Who smashes a juice box, anyway?

By now, you’ve surely seen the “debate” between upcoming opponents Chael Sonnen and Tito Ortiz in all of its cringe-inducing glory.

During Friday’s Bellator 162 event, Sonnen (28-14-1 MMA, 0-0 BMMA) and Ortiz (18-12-1 MMA, 2-1 BMMA), who meet on Jan. 21 in Bellator 170’s headliner, had a split-screen chat with moderator and Bellator broadcaster Jimmy Smith:

Ahead of the fight, which airs on Spike from The Forum in Inglewood, Calif., the debate provided the trash-talkers an opportunity to sling some insults.

As we discuss in The Speed Bag, it was bizarre, even by Sonnen-Ortiz standards. I mean, who smashes a juice box, anyway?
