TUF Winners Meet at UFC Fight Night 24 as James Wilks Steps in to Face Amir Sadollah

“Ultimate Fighter” winners will battle it out in Seattle as James Wilks has stepped in to face Amir Sadollah in Seattle as a part of UFC Fight Night 24 after Duane “Bang” Ludwig was forced to withdraw due to injury.

The UFC reported the change on Saturday.

“Bang Ludwig is out with an injured sternum but James Wilks has verbally agreed to step up against Amir Sadollah for UFC Fight Night March 26. TUF 7 winner VS TUF 9 winner. Should be fun,” UFC president Dana White said.

Wilks enters the fight coming off a loss to Claude Patrick in his last bout from UFC 120 in October 2010. Since winning the reality show’s 9th season, Wilks has gone 1-2 and will definitely look for an impressive performance in March.

Ludwig told MMAWeekly.com on Saturday night that he expects to be sidelined for about another four weeks with the injury to his sternum.

The original bout between Ludwig and Sadollah was slated to be on the main card, and it’s expected that the new fight featuring James Wilks will remain on the televised portion of the show.

(UPDATED at 2:40 a.m. on March 6, 2011, to include Ludwig’s expected time to heal.)
