Jake Ellenberger and Martin Kmpmann are set to battle for a UFC welterweight championship contender’s spot at The Ultimate Fighter Live Finale on Friday night in Las Vegas. Michael Chiesa and Al Iaquinta, in the co-main event on FX, fight to determine the winner of this season’s Ultimate Fighter lightweight tournament.
They and the rest of the Season 15 finale roster first had to weigh-in on Thursday at The Palms Casino and Resort to officially sanction their bouts with the Nevada Athletic Commission.
No one on the fight card had any trouble making weight.
Ellenberger stepped on the scale at 171 pounds, while Kampmann checked in at 170 for their five-round, non-title main event.
Now the only questions left unanswered are: one, will the winner of the main event get a title shot in his next bout, and two, who will be the next Ultimate Fighter?
