‘TUF 15’ Episode 4 Nets 1.1 Million Viewers on FX; Bellator 63 Attracts 140,000 on MTV2

Both the Ultimate Fighting Championship and Bellator Fighting Championships suffered a decline in viewership for their respective Friday night offerings last week.

Episode four of “The Ultimate Fighter” Season 15 netted an average of 1.1 million viewers on FX, a slight downturn from the previous week’s 1.2 million. The season high was set during the season premiere, which garnered 1.3 million observers.

Episode four of the series featured a highly competitive matchup between Al Iaquinta and Myles Jury. Representing coaches Urijah Faber and Dominick Cruz, respectively, Iaquinta and Jury fought to a two-round draw, forcing a “sudden victory” round to decide a winner. When the smoke had cleared, Iaquinta was declared the victor by split decision, earning Team Faber its first win of the season.

Meanwhile, Bellator 63 attracted an average of 140,000 viewers on MTV2, a decrease of 35,000 observers from last week’s Bellator 62, which posted a season-high 175,000 viewers. However, Bellator 63 still handily beat the season low of 108,000 viewers, set by Bellator 61 two weeks ago. Featuring the Season 6 welterweight tournament quarterfinals, Bellator 63 saw Karl Amoussou, Ben Saunders, David Rickels and Bryan Baker advance to the semifinal round, which will be contested May 4 at Bellator 67 when Saunders faces Baker and Amoussou meets Rickels.
