Super Fight League (SFL) returns for another edition of their weekly “Friday Fight Nights” series on Nov. 2 featuring rising star Michael “Venom” Page (2-0 from the United Kingdom) versus Haitham Tantawy (4-1 from Egypt) in a welterweight battle that takes place inside SFL’s O-Zone.
SFL 7 comes on the heels of an exciting night of finishes that made up SFL 6. The only fight on the card to go the distance was the main event, which saw Claudio Henrique Da Silva edge out Xavier Foupa-Pokam in a back-and-forth war, with Da Silva coming out on top.
Dan Isaac, COO of SFL said, “Super Fight League continues to become a global MMA promotion. While building Mixed Martial Arts in India and developing local talent while bringing in international high caliber opponents to give the up and comers someone to look up too. The ultimate goal is to build MMA in India and the local MMA athletes to become the next MMA Superstars.”
SFL 7 “Friday Fight Nights” will feature a pair of India’s Heavyweights making their debuts with Daniel Amar Singh versus Michael Pereira. Also, one of India’s most promising female fighters, Puja Kadian, takes on Walaa Kamaly of Egypt. The full fight card for SFL 7 is listed below.
Raj Kundra, Chairman of Super Fight League said, “I am excited about the entire card, but as a fight fan, I am super excited to see Michael Page versus Haitham Tantawy. Page has an unorthodox style that will fuel the fans and give Tantawy all he can handle. I expect the winner of this fight to become a contender for the SFL Championship.”
