TJ De Santis scores the round 10-9 Green
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Green
Round 2
Ricehouse opens up in a hurry, throwing a three-punch combo and
finishing with a leg kick which has Green shaking his head. Green
catches a kick and tries to drill Ricehouse with a knee, can’t find
it. Ricehouse has a shot stuffed and gets punished with a knee to
the body in the ensuing clinch. Green covers up to block a pair of
wide hooks, shoots a right hand in return and shakes off another
leg kick. Green doesn’t like his chances on the next clinch, so he
breaks it off and goes back to chasing Ricehouse with long punches.
Green is raising his arms, trying to goad Ricehouse into engaging
as he circles the outside. Green is landing body kicks, leg kicks
and hard jabs almost at will, as he can easily predict the movement
of Ricehouse. Another takedown try is stuffed by Green, and he
gives Ricehouse another knee to the body. Green shoves Ricehouse
into the fence with 50 seconds left. Ricehouse doesn’t go down, so
Green hops on his back standing and rides Ricehouse to the mat.
Green can’t secure the position and Ricehouse slips out before time
expires to lean Green into the cage.

TJ De Santis scores the round 10-9 Green
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Green
Round 3
Green lands an uppercut and wags a mocking finger at Ricehouse,
then continues making faces as he walks down the less active
fighter. Green isn’t giving Ricehouse any space as he moves around
the outside, then closes the gap even further with a clinch on the
fence. Green drags him down momentarily, but Ricehouse gets back up
and the pair splits with 3:00 to go. Green lands a hard punch to
the gut, a slapping low kick and then a switch kick to Ricehouse’s
face. Ricehouse is landing the occasional right hand, but they’re
few and far between. Now it’s an underhook for Ricehouse, though
Green doesn’t keep his back on the fence for more than a few
seconds. Ricehouse slugs with a left-right that snaps back Green’s
head; Green tries to play it off, indicating that the right hand
landed on his neck. Ricehouse lands a right leg kick, misses when
he goes high. Green gets stood up on a last-second takedown
attempt.

Jordan Breen scores the round 10-9 de Randamie
TJ De Santis scores the round 10-9 de Randamie
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 de Randamie
Round 2
The second round starts much like the first, with de Randamie
stalking Yamanaka around the cage and landing right hands when she
gets into range. Yamanaka is scoring with the occasional leg kick,
but she’s mostly a moving target for de Randamie’s wide punches.
Two minutes in, Yamanaka gets the clinch and works to trip de
Randamie to the canvas. De Randamie defends well again and this
time socks Yamanaka with shorts right hands as they grapple on the
cage. Yamanaka switches to a single-leg and tries to run de
Randamie down, but instead just runs her across the cage. Yamanaka
is doing nothing, just clinging onto de Randamie, who throws
frustrating right hands. Ref Beltran breaks them up again and a
combo from de Randamie sends Yamanaka stumbling backward into the
fence. Yamanaka slips the next big right, but her eye is already
showing damage from de Randamie’s power hand. More big punches from
de Randamie in the last half-minute and this is looking like a lost
cause for Yamanaka.
Jordan Breen scores the round 10-9 de Randamie
TJ De Santis scores the round 10-9 de Randamie
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 de Randamie
Round 3
The first big right hand from de Randamie comes about 10 seconds
into the round. Yamanaka tries to fight inside on the fence, but de
Randamie won’t stay there. Another left jab-overhand right crashes
into Yamanaka’s face. Finally, Yamanaka land a solid right hand;
unfortunately for her, de Randamie is already throwing a harder
two-piece combo to make the Smackgirl vet pay. Yamanaka clinches
again and tries to drag de Randamie down along the fence, but de
Randamie is showing great defense. Yamanaka switches from a
waistlock to a double-leg and knees de Randamie below the belt. De
Randamie takes a minute to recover and gets back to throwing bombs.
They trade right hands in the center of the cage and Yamanaka grabs
hold of de Randamie for a hip toss. De Randamie blocks it and gets
bullied into the fence, where Yamanaka again doesn’t do much. Ref
Beltran doesn’t have to split them up this time, as de Randamie
breaks away and charges with a right hand. Yamanaka is just getting
thumped in every exchange; even when she lands a punch, it seems to
carry a fraction of de Randamie’s power. Down the last minute, de
Randamie scores with hooks, a head kick and even a front kick to
the face.

TJ De Santis scores the round 10-9 Kedzie
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Kedzie
Round 2
Tate tries to get inside but Kedzie takes advantage with a clinch
on the fence. When Tate tries to trip Kedzie down, Kedzie lands
nearly in back control, then slaps on a triangle when Tate turns
over. From her back, Kedzie throws elbows and isolates the left arm
of Tate with her legs. Tate uses her free right arm to elbow
Kedzie’s thigh while she’s trapped in the position. Tate
transitions to back mount and Kedzie tripods up, trying to sneak
out the backdoor. She can’t, and Tate cinches up a body-triangle
before hunting for the rear-naked choke. It’s under the chin, but
only with Tate’s right arm, and Kedzie twists to put her back on
the canvas and escape danger. Tate tries a guillotine as they roll
but Kedzie avoids this as well and scrambles to her feet with just
over a minute left. Tate goes for a double-leg and Kedzie widens
her base against the cage post. Tate finally drags Kedzie down but
it’s Kedzie who lands the last half-dozen punches as the lean
against the cage.
Jordan Breen scores the round 10-9 Tate
TJ De Santis scores the round 10-9 Tate
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Tate
Round 3
Kedzie kicks out the lead leg of Tate, who spins to the ground but
is allowed back up. Kedzie sprawls on another shot and stalks Tate,
landing a left high kick, shin-to-face. Tate hangs on to
consciousness as Kedzie tries to pound her out at the base of the
cage. Tate turns away from the cage with her guard open, then
throws her legs up for an armbar. She’s got Kedzie’s right arm
trapped, and Kedzie tries to roll over the top. Kedzie remains
calm, stacking Tate underneath and trying to keep Tate from
straightening the arm. They remain in the position for the better
part of a minute, until Tate flips Kedzie over the top and finally
straightens out the armbar. Kedzie is doing everything she can to
resist tapping, including using her foot to keep Tate’s hands out
of position. Kedzie pops her head loose of Tate’s legs, but Tate
rolls to her side, cranks the arm and forces Kedzie to tap out.
Miesha Tate completes the comeback victory at 3:28 of the third
round.
Jordan Breen scores the round 10-9 St. Preux
TJ De Santis scores the round 10-9 St. Preux
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 St. Preux
Round 2
A sluggish start to the second round as the 205ers spend the better
part of a minute feeling out the distance. Ref Beltran calls for
action and St. Preux throws a kick to the body, then has a high
kick go off Cook’s forearm. St. Preux is keeping Cook on the end of
his long punches, but not landing anything significant. An inside
thigh kick goes astray and Cook takes a minute to recover from the
low blow. Soon after they resume, St. Preux hits a double-leg and
puts Cook’s back on the mat. St. Preux leans from right to left in
side control, then changes to north-south, perhaps looking for a
choke. He switches back to side control and gets his head caught
under Cook’s left arm. OSP extracts the head and steps into full
mount with half a minute remaining. Cook rolls, gives up his back
and then rolls over again. St. Preux finishes the round in mount
but can’t polish off Cook.
Jordan Breen scores the round 10-9 St. Preux
TJ De Santis scores the round 10-9 St. Preux
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 St. Preux
Round 3
St. Preux comes out throwing measured, straight left hands with bad
intentions, and Cook takes one square on the jaw. Cook is
unconscious before he crashes to the ground, forcing referee
Beltran to rush in and stop the fight. Ovince St. Preux is the
winner via knockout, 20 seconds into round three.
Jordan Breen scores the round 10-9 Saffiedine
TJ De Santis scores the round 10-9 Bowling
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Saffiedine
Round 2
Less than a minute into the round, Bowling throws a left hook to
the body and Saffiedine pushes him away with his open left hand,
accidentally sticking a finger in Bowling’s eye. Bowling gets
checked by the cageside physician and is cleared to continue a
minute later. The welterweights get back to action by trading
kicks, followed by a two-piece combo from Saffiedine, a front kick
and an inside leg kick. Bowling comes inside to throw hands but
gets wrapped up by Saffiedine, who pushes his man against the
fence. Bowling tries to frustrate with palm strikes to the head,
then drags Saffiedine down when he gets a little space. Saffiedine
hops right back up and pops his head loose from a guillotine, then
stifles a trip attempt and goes back to leaning on Bowling. Last 90
seconds of the middle round now and the pair breaks off. Bowling
stays active down the stretch with some hard leg kicks and overhand
punches, though Saffiedine gets off a few good counters in the
waning seconds.
Jordan Breen scores the round 10-9 Saffiedine
TJ De Santis scores the round 10-9 Saffiedine
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Saffiedine
Round 3
Bowling is aggressive once again, throwing hard punches to the head
and body of Saffiedine, who tries to stay out of range and pick at
Bowling with leg kicks. Saffiedine’s left hook is keeping the
slowing Bowling at bay now, but an ill-timed spinning kick allows
Bowling to grab hold of Saffiedine’s leg and initiate the clinch.
Saffiedine stays vertical and puts Bowling on the cage in the Thai
plum, then gets reversed. They exchange outside position again with
two minutes left and Saffiedine spends a minute pressing him on the
fence. Bowling throws some hard, wild punches and gets picked off
by Saffiedine, who spins to take Bowling’s back after a failed
shot. Saffiedine tries to finish with a rear-naked choke but can’t
get his forearm under the throat before the horn.
