Spike TV announced Tuesday that the Viacom-owned brand will launch a new Friday night series debuting on March 2 featuring “the greatest episodes from the 14 seasons of ‘The Ultimate Fighter.’”
Running from 9 p.m. to midnight, “The Ultimate Fighter Fridays” will air directly opposite new episodes of “TUF,” which will be broadcast on Fox-owned cable station FX.
According to the official release, Spike will consider input from fans via Facebook and Twitter prior to airing “special-themed” editions of the series.
The UFC has broadcast 14 seasons of “The Ultimate Fighter” on Spike, wrapping up the most recent installment on Dec. 3 with a live showdown between coaches Michael Bisping and Jason Miller at the “TUF 14” finale in Las Vegas.
While Season 14 was the first to feature featherweight and bantamweight contestants, Season 15 on FX will showcase the world’s top-two 135-pound talents as coaches. Dominick Cruz and Urijah Faber will coach opposite each other before squaring off for Cruz’s bantamweight belt at a to-be-named 2012 event.view original article >>
