As a reminder, the UFC’s traditional pre-event show returns tonight with the debut of “Countdown to UFC 162: Silva vs. Weidman” on FUEL TV.
The one-hour special previews the Saturday’s headliner between middleweight champion Anderson Silva (33-4 MMA, 16-0 UFC) and top contender Chris Weidman (9-0 MMA, 5-0 UFC).
The show debuts at 11 p.m. ET (8 p.m. PT). Replays air throughout the week on FUEL TV as well as regional FOX Sports Net affiliates. MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) also will have an online version available tomorrow morning.
UFC 162 takes place at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. The night’s main card airs on pay-per-view following prelims on FX and Facebook.
UFC 162 also features a main card of featherweights Frankie Edgar (15-4-1 MMA, 9-4-1 UFC) vs. Charles Oliveira (16-3 MMA, 4-3 UFC), middleweights Roger Gracie (6-1 MMA, 0-0 UFC) vs. Tim Kennedy (15-4 MMA, 0-0 UFC), middleweights Tim Boetsch (15-6 MMA, 7-4 UFC) vs. Mark Munoz (12-3 MMA, 7-3 UFC) and featherweights Dennis Siver (21-8 MMA, 10-5 UFC) vs. Cub Swanson (19-5 MMA, 4-1 UFC).
