Rashad Evans Had to Step Away and Miss Fighting to Reignite the Fire (UFC 156 Pre-fight Video)

Rashad Evans has been away from fighting, once again, for an extended period. He hasn’t set foot in the Octagon since losing to former teammate Jon Jones early last year at UFC 145.

After that fight, Evans took a step back and took a deep look inside himself and did a little soul searching to try and re-wrap his head around why he does what he does.

“Being away from fighting helped me miss fighting to see why I really love fighting,” said Evans on Thursday.

On Saturday night, he returns to the Octagon at UFC 156 to reignite his career against longtime veteran Antonio Rogerio Nogueira.
