Raphael Davis signs multi-fight deal with World Series of Fighting

raphael-davis.jpgSeven-year MMA veteran Raphael Davis (13-2) is the latest addition to the World Series of Fighting roster.

MMAjunkie.com today learned from sources close to the light-heavyweight fighter and subsequently confirmed with company officials that Davis has signed a multi-fight deal with the Las Vegas-based promotion.

Davis’ debut date for the promotion has not yet been determined.

Fighting professionally since 2006, Davis has earned 12 stoppage victories in his 13 career wins, including seven by submission and another five wins by knockout. He’s perhaps best-known for a four-fight stint under the Bellator MMA banner, in which he compiled three wins against one loss.

He’s since competed twice outside of the promotion, earning a pair of second-round TKO wins in fights in California and Switzerland.

Overall, Davis boasts a three-fight win streak in which all three victories were earned by second-round knockout.

Despite a solid career record, Davis has largely flown under the radar on the national MMA landscape. Most recently, he made news outside of the cage when he was involved in a fraudulent worker’s compensation investigation.

Davis joins a World Seroes of Fighting 205-pound roster that includes Angel DeAnda, Francisco France, Anthony Johnson, Mike Kyle, D.J. Linderman, Tyrone Spong and Hans Stringer.
