Tonight’s UFC on FOX 19 card has undergone one final (we hope) shuffle.
Late Friday, after the weigh-ins for the card, a lightweight bout between Drew Dober (16-7 MMA, 2-3 UFC) and Islam Makhachev (12-1 MMA, 1-1 UFC) was scrapped from the prelims due to a potential failed pre-fight drug test for Makhachev.
That came on the heels of Lyoto Machida (22-7 MMA, 14-7 UFC) being pulled from his co-main event against Dan Henderson (31-14 MMA, 8-8 UFC) earlier in the week, which pushed Rose Namajunas (4-2 MMA, 2-1 UFC) vs. Tecia Torres (7-0 MMA, 3-0 UFC) into the co-feature.
And lest you forget, the original UFC on FOX 19 main event was supposed to be Khabib Nurmagomedov vs. Tony Ferguson until Ferguson had to pull out earlier this month. Now Nurmagomedov (22-0 MMA, 6-0 UFC) meets UFC newcomer Darrell Horcher (13-1 MMA, 0-0 UFC) in a 160-pound catchweight fight.
The Dober vs. Makhachev bout was supposed to open the FOX-televised prelims after four bouts on UFC Fight Pass. But now welterweights Randy Brown (7-0 MMA, 1-0 UFC) vs. Michael Graves (5-0 MMA, 1-0 UFC) will move from UFC Fight Pass to the FOX prelims ahead of a main card on the same channel.
UFC on FOX 19 takes place at Amalie Arena in Tampa, Fla. The card airs on FOX following early prelims on UFC Fight Pass.
The final UFC on FOX 19 lineup now includes:
MAIN CARD (FOX, 8 p.m. ET)
PRELIMINARY CARD (FOX, 6 p.m. ET)
PRELIMINARY CARD (UFC Fight Pass, 4:30 p.m. ET)
