Resurrection Fighting Alliance will return on Nov 2 at the Dallas Event Center inside Texas Station Gambling Hall and Hotel with two former UFC fighters headlining the card.
Knockout artist Gilbert Yvel has found new life since joining the RFA last year, and even now that he’s a light heavyweight, he’s been just as devastating.
Yvel has won his last two fights in a row by TKO including a first round knockout of former UFC competitor Houston Alexander.
Facing Yvel in November will be submission specialist Marcio ‘Pe De Pano’ Cruz.
Following a brief stint in the UFC that saw Cruz defeat former UFC heavyweight champion Frank Mir in only his second professional fight, the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu expert had reeled off five wins in a row before running into Glover Teixeira in his last fight.
Teixeira handed Cruz a 2nd round TKO loss so now he will look to get back to his winning ways when he faces Yvel in November.
The co-main event on the card features former Ultimate Fighter winner Efrain Escudero meets Tyson Griffin in a lightweight bout.
Both Escudero and Griffin exited the UFC after recent losses, so RFA 4 will be a chance at redemption for both competitors.
The remaining fight card will be announced in the coming days but will feature several top prospects in the sport including Bubba Jenkins, Steve Mocco, Sergio Pettis and Lance Palmer.
