Strikeforce welterweight Paul Daley certainly likes to keep busy. Just a day after signing to fight Jordan Radev at BAMMA 7, the British slugger has signed on to face American Top Team fighter Luigi Fioravanti in the main event of Ringside 12 in Montreal.
Ringside announced the fight on Monday as the main event for its upcoming card.
Daley will be fighting twice in just over a month’s time with his commitment to BAMMA on Sept. 10, and then heading to Montreal on Oct. 21 for his fight in Ringside.
This will be Daley’s first return to Montreal since the infamous incident at UFC 113 where he lost to Josh Koscheck by unanimous decision, and then opted to slug his opponent after the fight had already ended.
Daley was immediately released from the UFC, and has never returned to the organization. Hopefully, his second trip to Montreal will go smoother.
Facing Daley in Montreal will be American Top Team and former UFC fighter Luigi Fioravanti.
When Fioravanti returns in October, he’ll be trying to break a two-fight skid that saw him lose to both Joe Doerksen and Andrei Semenov. Fioravanti had won his last five fights in a row before the recent two fight losing streak.
The full card for Ringside 12 is expected to be released on Tuesday.
