Miguel Torres Signs with World Series of Fighting, Set to Debut on Nov 3 Show

Miguel Torres UFC 126Former WEC bantamweight champion and UFC fighter Miguel Torres has signed on to compete with the World Series of Fighting beginning on Nov. 3.

World Series of Fighting (WSOF) Executive Vice President and matchmaker Ali Abdel-Aziz confirmed the news to MMAWeekly.com on Sunday.

Torres comes to the WSOF following a 2-2 record inside the Octagon before receiving his release earlier this year after a loss to current bantamweight star Michael McDonald.

Following his UFC exit, Torres was expected to compete in Titan Fighting Championships, but instead will move to the new Las Vegas based World Series of Fighting.

WSOF will hold their first event on Nov 3 at the Planet Hollywood Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, and the card is expected to air on the NBC Sports Network (formerly known as Versus).

The news of Torres’ signing was first reported by MMAFighting.com.
