Just as quickly as a date and venue came together for the Ultimate Fighting Championship’s return to the U.K., the UFC 138 fight card is filling up.
The latest addition announced by UFC officials is a featherweight bout pitting Brit Jason Young against Japanese fighter Michihiro Omigawa.
Young (8-4) will be looking to redeem himself after losing his Octagon debut to Dustin Poirier at UFC 131 in Vancouver. He needs to pull this one out on his home turf or he could be sent packing.
Omigawa (12-10) is in an even more desperate situation. After winning five consecutive bouts over solid competition to make his way to the UFC, Omigawa has yet to chalk up a W in the Octagon. He is coming off back-to-back losses to Chad Mendes at UFC 126 and Darren Elkins at UFC 131.
The UFC 138 main event pits Chris Leben against Mark Munoz in a middleweight bout with title contention written all over it. The even is scheduled for Nov. 5 in Birmingham, England.
