Magnus Cedenblad vs. Krzysztof Jotko added to UFC Fight Night 41 in Berlin

A middleweight matchup between Sweden’s Magnus Cedenblad (11-4 MMA, 1-1 UFC) and Poland’s Krzysztof Jotko (14-0 MMA, 1-0 UFC) is the latest matchup added to the UFC’s return to Germany.

UFC officials recently announced the new bout, which takes place May 31 at UFC Fight Night 41 at the O2 World Berlin in Germany. The card, which stream in the U.S. on UFC Fight Pass, marks the company’s first event in Germany since November 2010.

The positioning of the Cedenblad vs. Jotko matchup on the evening’s still-developing card has yet to be announced. Mark Munoz vs. Gegard Mousasi serves as the evening’s headliner.

The 6-foot-3 Cedenblad made his UFC debut and had some early success against gritty Frenchman Francis Carmont before ultimately succumbing to a second-round submission in the April 2012 bout. While a few injury issues along the way have prevented the 31-year-old from taking part in a few scheduled matchups, Cedenblad did score a 57-second submission win over Jared Hamman at August’s UFC 164 event.

Meanwhile, the undefeated Jotko made his UFC debut at December’s UFC Fight Night 33 event, scoring a decision win over Bruno Santos. The 24-year-old has been fighting professionally since 2010 and has picked up four knockouts and two submission on his way to a 14-0 record.

With the addition to the card, the UFC Fight Night 41 lineup now includes:

• Gegard Mousasi vs. Mark Munoz
• Drew Dober vs. Nick Hein
• Luke Barnatt vs. Sean Strickland
• Pawel Pawlak vs. Peter Sobotta
• Magnus Cedenblad vs. Krzysztof Jotko
