Lightweight Tournament Final Headlines Bellator 83 in New Jersey on Dec. 7

Bellator Fighting Championships’ Season 7 lightweight tournament final will take place Dec. 7 at Caesars Hotel and Casino, in Atlantic City, N.J., the promotion announced Monday.

The main card of Bellator 83 airs on MTV2 at 8 p.m. ET, while prelims stream on Spike.com beginning at 6 p.m. ET. The Chicago-based promotion recently held Bellator 74 at the same venue on Sept. 28.

“After a sold out Bellator 74 that had the Caesars crowd on its feet, coming back to Caesars Atlantic City was an easy decision,” Bellator CEO Bjorn Rebney said in a release. “Our lightweight tournament is stacked, and the winner will walk away with a tournament prize of $100,000 and a guaranteed title shot for our coveted lightweight championship.”

Also scheduled to compete at Bellator 83 is Strong Style Fight Team representative Jessica Eye (Pictured). The 26-year-old flyweight is 2-0 in the Bellator cage and 8-1 overall. “Evil” has won her last five professional appearances, all via decision.

The Bellator lightweight tournament is set to begin Oct. 19 in Reading, Penn., with four 155-pound matchups: Rich Clementi vs. Alexander Sarnavsky, Rene Nazare vs. Ricardo Tirloni, Marcin Held vs. Murad Machaev and Dave Jansen vs. Magomed Saadulaev.
