Legacy FC Featherweight Champion Damon Jackson Takes UFC 177 Fight on Nine Days’ Notice

UFC officials announced the new pairing on Friday. With the featherweight bout, the Aug. 30 event features a total of ten fights. Jackson, the Legacy Fighting Championship featherweight titleholder, will come in on just nine days’ notice to fill the void left by a late Justin Edwards injury. “The Leech” grabbed headlines last month for his first-round arm-triangle choke victory against World Extreme Cagefighting veteran Leonard Garcia at LFC 33. Jackson is undefeated in nine pro bouts, all via knockout or submission.
