Legacy FC 21 features dual title fights, Riddle-Young on July 19

Legacy FC 21 will feature two title fights for vacant belts, as well as the promotional debut of recent UFC fighter Matthew Riddle, on July 19.

Legacy FC officials confirmed with MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) the night’s full lineup.

In the headliner, Angel Huerta (6-1) and Matt Hobar (7-1) fight for the vacant bantamweight title, and in the co-headliner, William “Bubba” Bush (5-2) and Larry Crowe (6-2) fight for the middleweight belt.

Legacy FC 21 takes place at Arena Theater in Houston, and the main card airs live on AXS TV.

Huerta recently rebounded from his first career loss (to Nelson Salas) with a 67-second knockout of Saul Elizondo. It was his fifth KO in six career wins, most of which have come with Legacy. He meets Hobar, who suffered his lone loss to Steven Peterson after suffering an arm injury in their August 2012 bout. He later avenged the loss and then defeated Salas this past week.

Bush, meanwhile, has won three of his past four fights, including a TKO victory over Jon Kirk in his most recent bout. His only losses have come to notables Andrew Craig (now in the UFC) and Artenas Young (a Strikeforce and Shark Fights vet). He meets Crowe, who recently knocked out Matt Rogers for his fifth win in six fights.

Other televised bouts include Riddle (7-3) vs. Young (9-5), as well as featherweights Gerzan Chaw (3-2) vs. Darrion Caldwell (2-0), 160-pounders Justin Reiswerg (5-2) vs. Gerardo Abadie (5-1), and welterweights Jonathan Harris (6-3) vs. Matt Rogers (8-5).
