Following a scary submission at UFC on Versus 5 that saw his leg twisted in a very wrong direction, former Ultimate Fighter competitor Kyle Noke received good news after visiting his doctors.
Noke visited his physician after being caught on the bad end of an inverted heel hook courtesy of Ed Herman during their UFC on Versus 5 fight in Milwaukee.
The torque from the maneuver saw Noke’s leg twisted in a very nasty direction. Upon viewing the replay it appeared as if his kneecap literally shifted away from his leg.
The good news for Noke came last week, however, when an MRI revealed only a grade two sprain.
According to Noke’s manager, Jahani Curl of Machi Sports & Entertainment, the Australian will begin his physical therapy on Monday and shouldn’t keep him out of the Octagon for long.
The loss to Herman at UFC on Versus 5 was Noke’s first defeat since debuting in the promotion after his stint on the 11th season of The Ultimate Fighter.
Noke will continue his rest and rehabilitation for the next few weeks while he works his way back into full competition later this year.
