Kyle Kingsbury Suffers Some Road Rash in Accident, but Will Fight at UFC on Fuel TV 5

Kyle Kingsbury took a spill on his motorcycle recently, but he’s not going to let that slow him down.

Coming off of back-to-back losses to Stephan Bonnar and Glover Texeira, Kingsbury has been working hard at American Kickboxing Academy in San Jose, Calif., to correct his career course. Passing up his fight with Jimi Manuwa in England just isn’t in his plans.

Kingsbury’s coach tweeted about the accident, including a picture of the road rash the light heavyweight brought back to the gym with him shortly after.

@Kingsbu injury after motorcycle accident! He is still fighting in England crazy!! I would bitch out!lol,” tweeted AKA trainer Javier Mendez.

Taking himself out of the fight just wasn’t an option for Kingsbury, although remnants of the accident will likely still be visible when he steps in the Octagon with Manuwa. The two will fight on the Facebook prelims of the UFC on Fuel TV 5 fight card slated for Sept. 29 at Capital FM Arena in Nottingham.
