Krzysztof Jotko wants a breakdance battle with Sage Northcutt

Krzysztof Jotko threw his hat in the ring – or octagon – for flashiest post-fight celebration with his breakdance moves following his UFC Fight Night 76 win over Scott Askham.

Jotko’s (16-1 MMA, 3-1 UFC) split-decision win over fellow middleweight Askham (13-2 MMA, 1-2 UFC) at the event, which took place at Dublin’s 3Arena and streamed on UFC Fight Pass, gave him a two-fight winning streak.

By the end of the bout, Jotko was covered in Askham’s blood. The crimson was flowing enough that Jotko said it was the worst in his 17-fight run as a pro.

“Yes, it was probably the bloodiest fight in my career,” Jotko told MMAjunkie through an interpreter following the victory. “I’m not satisfied with the fight, but I’m glad that I won.

“I would like to have had more striking in the fight, but I couldn’t find the right distance. A lot of shots didn’t land. After Askham got tired, he was just clinching, so there was a lot of clinching and holding and not a lot of punching. I’d like some more punching next time.”

Blood aside, it was the breakdancing that seemed to stick in the minds of fans following the victory. It’s no surprise that Sage Northcutt’s name came up in conversation following the celebration.

Northcutt blew away fans and media with his sub-minute blitz of Francisco Trevino earlier this month at UFC 192, and then blew them away again with a ridiculous flip during his post-fight celebration (via Twitter):

As a 185-pounder, Jotko may fight 30 pounds north of Northcutt, but he knows there’s one place they can face off.

“I didn’t see Northcutt doing a breakdance,” Jotko said. “But if he wants to compete in a breakdance battle, I’m down for it. I’m ready to battle.”
