With a final addition, the card is set for Bellator MMA’s debut pay-per-view event, and a hefty 14 fights are now part of the lineup.
The new bouts include veteran welterweight Karo Parisyan (22-10 MMA, 0-1 BMMA) vs. Cristiano “Soldier Boy” Souza (6-0 MMA, 2-0 BMMA).
Bellator 106 takes place Bellator Nov. 2 at Long Beach Arena in California. The main card airs on pay-per-view following prelims on Spike TV and Spike.com.
Parisyan vs. Souza is the fourth and final addition to the Spike TV lineup.
Parisyan, a former UFC welterweight contender and early WEC titleholder, recently made his Bellator debut but suffered a knockout loss to Rick Hawn at Bellator 95. Prior to the defeat, the 31-year-old judoka had rebounded from a 1-4 skid with back-to-back armbar victories on the regional circuit.
Souza, who fights out of Florida, gets his most notable opponent to date. Since turning pro in 2009, he’s racked up a 6-0 record with five stoppages. Prior to his current yearlong layoff, he posted Bellator wins over John Kelly and Robert Otani.
The full Bellator 106 card includes:
