Cage Warriors Fighting Championship is going all in for its June event in London.

The promotion on Tuesday announced that Cage Warriors 69 will be christened “Super Saturday” and will feature two main cards. Then the England-based promotion will take a hiatus of more than two months while soccer’s World Cup plays out.

Cage Warriors 69 is set for June 7 at The Forum in London, and already announced for the card was a fight for the vacant lightweight title between Curt Warburton (13-4) and Stevie Ray (14-5). That will headline the second of the two main cards, while the promotion said the other will get a to-be-announced title fight, as well.

“After our event in London on June 7, we’ll be taking a break until CWFC 70 in Dublin on Aug. 16 while the World Cup takes center stage, so we want to treat the fans to something big before we do that,” Cage Warriors CEO Graham Boylan stated. “Almost every other sport has a marquee event on its calendar, whether that be the Super Bowl or the Champions League final, so this is something MMA needs and it’s something we’ll be looking to make an annual event.”

Along with that title fight, there are seven new fights already booked for the show. Jack Marshman (14-5) and Bola Omoyele (7-2) will meet in a middleweight fight; UFC vet Simeon Thoresen (17-4-1) will make his Cage Warriors debut at featherweight against Jake Bostwick (14-8); UFC vet Benny Alloway (13-5) meets Mohsen Bahari (7-1) in a welterweight bout; and Jack Mason (27-13) takes on Bruno “B.C.” Carvalho (15-8) at 170 pounds.

Plus, Liam James (8-6) meets Nad Narimani (7-1) at featherweight; flyweights Brett Caswell (4-1) and Spencer Hewitt (11-7) do battle; and Jason Cooledge (10-6) takes on Brad Wheeler (11-9) at lightweight.

The day will start with unaired prelims at 10 a.m. ET, followed by prelims on Cage Warriors’ Facebook page at 11 a.m. ET. The first of the two main cards will start at 1 p.m. ET live on MMAjunkie, and the second main card goes live at 4 p.m. ET.

With the additions, the latest Cage Warriors 69 card includes:

  • Jake Bostwick vs. Simeon Thoresen
  • Benny Alloway vs. Mohsen Bahari
