June's 'ONE FC 17: Era of Champions' in Indonesia gets four new matchups

Next month’s “ONE FC 17: Era of Champions” event has four new matchups, as company officials today released further details of the still-forming card.

The new contests include Yohan Mulia Legowo (7-2) vs. Ev Ting (6-2), Zuli Silawanto (6-7) vs. Barbod (0-0), Geje Eustaquio (5-2) vs. Kentaro Watanabe (10-4) and Mahmoud Salama (4-4) and Aung La N Sang (14-9).

Featuring a flyweight headliner between Adriano Moraes (10-1) and Kosuke Suzuki (10-3-2), “ONE FC 17: Era of Champions” takes place June 14 at Jakarta’s Mata Elang International Stadium. The card airs in the U.S. via online pay-per-view.

“Indonesian pride will be on the line when Yohan Mulia Legowo and Zuli Silawanto represent Indonesia in their contests,” ONE FC CEO Victor Cui stated. “The flyweight bout between Geje Eustaquio and Kentaro Watanabe also pits two of the most electrifying flyweights in the world against each other, and the welterweight bout between Mahmoud Salama and Aung La N Sang is another highly anticipated battle.

“Indonesian fans in attendance and ONE FC fans watching all over the world are in for an unforgettable night of explosive world-class mixed martial arts action.”

Legowo makes his ONE FC debut and looks to rebound from a January submission loss. He meets New Zealand’s Ting who fought in April and suffered a disappointing split-decision result.

“The Shark” Siliwanto is a 12-year veteran of the sport who boasts three ONE FC appearances. He now meets Iranian Barbod, a striking specialists with a background in tae kwon do and muay Thai.

Filipino “Gravity” Eustaquio fought most recently in December, earning a win over Eugene Toquero. Japanese contender Watanabe hasn’t fought since this past July but is 6-1 in his past seven appearances.

Salama and La N Sang were supposed to meet in May before visa issues forced a delay. The two now meet at ONE FC 17.

With the addition to the card, the ONE FC 17 lineup now includes:

• Adriano Moraes vs. Kosuke Suzuki
• Sami Amin vs. Fransino Tirta
• Yohan Mulia Legowo vs. Ev Ting
• Zuli Silawanto vs. Barbod Barbod
• Geje Eustaquio vs. Kentaro Watanabe
• Mahmoud Salama vs. Aung La N Sang
