John “Doomsday” Howard vs. Rick Story Added to UFC Fight Night in Atlantic City

Both men looking to rebound, John Howard and Rick Story are slated to square off at UFC Fight Night 45 on July 16 in Atlantic City, N.J.

UFC officials announced the bout on Sunday.

Howard (22-9) returned to the UFC last August, quickly putting together back-to-back victories over Uriah Hall and Siyar Bahadurzada. He stumbled in his last fight in the Octagon, however, dropping a unanimous decision to Ryan LaFlare at UFC Fight Night: Nogueira vs. Nelson in April in Abu Dhabi.

At one time, Story (16-8) was rocketing quickly up the welterweight ranks towards a title shot, but ever since his six-fight winning streak ended, he has had a difficult time building any momentum.

Story has alternated between wins and losses for the past three years, and is coming off of  a split-decision loss to The Ultimate Fighter 17 winner Kelvin Gastelum at UFC 171 in March.
