Jessamyn Duke Broke Her Hand in UFC Fight Night 45 Loss to Leslie Smith

Not only did The Ultimate Fighter 18 Team Rousey member Jessamyn Duke suffer her second consecutive loss at UFC Fight Night 45 on Wednesday, she also broke her left hand in the loss to Leslie Smith.

Fox Sports Live confirmed the injury following the event, and Duke posted a photo of the x-ray showing the break on her Instagram account.

Smith hurt Duke with punches and dropped her with devastating hooks to the body. It’s unclear whether Duke suffered the break hitting Smith or if it was caused by blocking Smith’s kicks.

Duke is now 1-2 in the UFC while Smith snapped a two-fight losing streak with the first-round finish.
