Jadamba Narantungalag Fights for 145-Pound Strap at ONE FC: Reign of Champions

Jadamba vs HonorioThe final three fights have been added to the ONE FC: Reign of Champions card with Jadamba Narantungalag rewarded for his impressive recent win over Honorio Banario with an immediate shot at reigning featherweight champion Koji Oishi.

The event is set for The World Trade Centre in Dubai on August 29 and will feature no fewer than three title fights with Oishi making the second defense of the belt he won by beating Banario in Manila last year.

The champion was initially slated to face Eric Kelly but the Filipino suffered a fractured nose in his dramatic second-round submission win over Rob Lisita last month which ruled him out of action in August.

Replacing him will be Narantungalag (9-3) who is the former Legend FC lightweight champion and has won nine out of his last ten fights, claiming wins over the likes of Akihiro Gono, Kazunori Yokota, Adrian Pang and Yui Chul Nam with the sole loss coming due to an accidental injury.

Oishi (25-9-10) burst onto the scene with back-to-back TKO wins over Banario last year but is a seasoned veteran who will be fighting for the fiftieth time and has been in with the likes of Nick Diaz, Nate Diaz and Carlos Condit.

Another big fight was announced today which will see James McSweeney (13-11) return to the ONE FC cage following his emphatic first round knock out win over Chris Lokteff earlier this year. The Englishman will be dropping down to light heavyweight to take on Japanese Brazilian Cristiano Kaminishi (8-1-0-2).

The third bout to be announced this morning is a flyweight affair between two stand-up specialists as Malaysian Muay Thai champion Ali Yakuub makes his professional MMA debut against Lumpinee champion Dejdamrong Sor Amnuaysirichoke (1-0).

The card is headlined by a welterweight title bout between champion Nobutatsu Suzuki and challenger Ben Askren while Shinya Aoki is also set to make the first defense of his lightweight belt against Kamal Shalorus.

As always the main card will be broadcast live on Star Sports in Asia and various other networks worldwide and will be available to view online for 9.99 USD. For more information visit: www.onefc.livesport.tv.
