It has been no secret that following his successful promotional debut at UFC on Fuel TV 9, popular Irish fighter Conor McGregor would make his sophomore effort at the first UFC on Fox Sports 1 event on Aug. 17 in Boston.
UFC officials on Friday confirmed to MMAWeekly.com that McGregor now has an opponent to go along with the date… Andy Ogle.
Both fighters have verbally agreed to the featherweight bout.
McGregor (13-2) lived up to the high expectations of him at UFC on Fuel TV 9, defeating Marcus Brimage by TKO little more than a minute into their fight.
Ogle (9-2), an Englishman, last fought at UFC on Fuel TV 7 in February, when he won a unanimous decision over Josh Grispi.
Officials have yet to announce a UFC on Fox Sports 1: 1 main event, which will serve to help launch the new Fox Sports 1 network.
