According to a release, Ladd boasts an 8-1 amateur mark. However, Sherdog.com’s database currently has the Folsom, Calif., native listed at 2-1.
“I’m thrilled,” Ladd said. “It’s been my dream for years now, ever since I first started fighting.
“I always assumed there would be three things in my life: work, fighting and school. This is the combination. I get to do my passion for work, and I couldn’t be happier. I just have to prove myself.”
A member of the MMAGold Fight Team, Ladd is expected to make her Invicta -- and professional debut -- in early 2015. At the moment, the promotion does not have any events announced for next year. Its last card, Invicta FC 10, took place on Dec. 5 and saw Herica Tiburcio upset Michelle Waterson for the atomweight title at the Arena Theatre in Houston.
