Invicta FC 2 Weigh-in Results: Shayna Baszler, Sara McMann Hit Marks for 135-Pound Main Event



Shayna Baszler and Sara McMann made weight Friday ahead of their Invicta FC 2 headliner, tipping the scales at 135.4 and 133.6 pounds, respectively.

The second effort from the all-female promotion goes down Saturday at Memorial Hall in Kansas City, Kan., and streams live on InvictaFC.com. Co-main event competitors Alexis Davis (134) and Hitomi Akano (135.8) were also cleared for their bantamweight bout.

Former Strikeforce title challenger Liz Carmouche (135) will compete on the card, as will hard-hitting Brazilian prospect Amanda Nunes (135.4); the pair square off with Kaitlin Young (135) and Raquel Pa’aluhi (134.4), respectively.

Additionally, reigning Jewels 115-pound champ Ayaka Hamasaki (114.6) will toe the line against Lacey Schuckman (115.4), while onetime Strikeforce talent Sarah D'Alelio (136.2)* meets Vanessa Porto (133.6). The eight-fight main card will also see Barb Honchak (124.2) face Bethany Marshall (124) and Julia Budd (145.2) take on Elina Nilsson (144.6).
