The all-female fight promotion, Invicta Fighting Championships, held its sixteenth event on March 11 at the Tropicana Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. The fight card featured two title fights and aired on UFC Fight Pass.
Atomweight champion Ayaka Hamasaki defended her title by submitting challenger Amber Brown in the third round of the fight card’s featured bout. In the co-main event, Jennifer Maia came from behind to win unanimous decision and took home the interim flyweight title by avenging a previous loss to Vanessa Porto.

On Monday, the Nevada Athletic Commission released the medical suspensions stemming from Invicta FC 16: Hamasaki vs. Brown. Most of the fighters received minimal suspensions, but one potentially faces being out for six months. Eight of the 13 fighters that competed on the fight card didn’t receive any suspension.

Vanessa Porto: suspended until April 11, with no contact until April 2
Stephanie Eggink: suspended until April 11, with no contact until April 2
Jessamyn Duke: suspended until April 11, with no contact until April 2
Herica Tiburcio: suspended until April 2, with no contact until March 26
Sarah Click: must have left hand x-rayed and cleared by a doctor, or no contest until Sept. 12
